Tameika Chandler-Jones, MHRM, MBA, CLRP, SHRM-PMQ

Tameika Chandler-Jones, President and Owner of Transcendent Consultative Solutions, LLC, is a seasoned human resources executive, labor relations professional, and people-strategy consultant with nearly two decades of progressive HR experience.

Tameika holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, a Master of Science in Human Resources Management, and a Master of Science in Business Administration. She also holds professional certifications as a Certified Labor Relations Professional (CLRP), SHRM People Manager Qualification (PMQ), and Certified DISC Profile Analyst. She is a member of the International Association of Professional Human Resources Consultants.

Her career includes senior HR leadership in two of Lake County, Illinois’s largest municipalities. For nine years, Tameika led the Human Resources department for the City of Waukegan, supporting an organization of more than 500 employees. In August 2023, she transitioned into another senior municipal HR leadership role with the second-largest municipality in Lake County, Illinois.

Tameika discovered her passion for human resources and labor relations in 2003 while working in an academic HR department. That experience shifted her career focus from law enforcement to employment law, organizational effectiveness, and people strategy.

Through her municipal leadership roles, Tameika has developed extensive expertise in public-sector human resources, labor relations, regulatory compliance, employee relations, performance management, policy development, workforce planning, talent strategy, and organizational operations. Her experience includes partnering with executive leaders, department heads, employees, labor representatives, and governing bodies to address complex workplace matters and strengthen organizational performance.

Tameika is known for translating complex employment laws, regulations, policies, and labor agreements into practical guidance that leaders and employees can understand and apply. She brings a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to sensitive employee relations matters, workplace investigations, performance concerns, organizational change, and labor-management relationships.

As the founder of Transcendent Consultative Solutions, Tameika provides fractional HR leadership, labor relations support, compliance guidance, performance management solutions, policy development, talent strategy, employee engagement services, and special-project support. Her consultative approach combines regulatory knowledge, strategic thinking, empathy, and operational discipline. She helps organizations build clear processes, reduce risk, strengthen workplace culture, and develop sustainable HR practices that continue to create value long after an engagement ends.

Tameika partners with public- and private-sector organizations that need experienced HR leadership without the cost of a full-time executive. She also works alongside organizations with established HR teams by providing support during peak periods, organizational transitions, special projects, compliance initiatives, complex employee relations matters, or interim leadership needs.
